The FDA considers glutamate to be GRAS (Generally Regarded as Safe), yet food/beverage corporations are NOT measuring or labeling it on their products. Those corporations are essentially cheating because they hide the glutamate which they use as a trick to make their foods tastier and addictive, much like a drug. Any intelligent consumer should recognize that as very suspicious and unethical behavior.
My current goals include:
A) To make sure consumers learn not only to read ingredients, but how to interpret them based on the list of ingredients that hide glutamate.
B) To oust all the corporations and products that hide glutamate. Like the saying goes, "It's not cheating unless you get caught." Well, guess what? You may now consider all corporations that hide glutamate to be officially caught as cheaters.
C) To make food/beverage corporations measure and label the precise amount of glutamate present in their products.
D) To increase the popularity of food/beverage products that don't have ingredients that contain glutamate, yet still taste great.
Imagine food/beverage corporations as popular, cheating bullies in high school and the FDA as the school administration that's allowing them to cheat. That allowance does NOT justify their cheating at all.
Do the corporations that hide glutamate truly deserve to be so popular?
Most importantly, would you continue giving your hard-earned money to the popular, cheating, bullying corporations knowing that they hide glutamate?
